TokioIch confess, I'm a Kameranarr. In recent years I have tested a few devices, and occasionally even bought one. But hardly a camera I've been waiting with more tension than on Sony's foray into the league of full-format cameras, the compact RX1. Because Sony boss Kaz Hirai had recently called in a small circle as his first foster child.

Thankfully, Sony offers a distance scale on the screen, which would have the potential to replace their model to the lens fully satisfying. As workhorse Sony vgp-bps13 RX1 is not the right camera for me. I need video and interchangeable lenses. But I had enough pocket money left over, the RX-1 for me would be an extremely attractive secondary camera for traveling. The quality of a full frame sensor is superior for photos smaller sensors simply. Although it is not cheap. But their acquisition can be in the intra-household budget deliberations well justified with the argument that is still cheaper than a Leica 35-millimeter-2.0-Summicron lens to be, not to mention the additional necessary Leica camera entirely. So for me it is an alternative as a status symbol for photo enthusiasts who want to stand out from the crowd, but where a Leica is too expensive.
